1st XI vs. Aberfeldie

A tough loss for the 1st XI boys on Saturday which has made finals very hard to reach from this point on. Aberfeldie won the toss and elected to bat first. We were on early with our bowling and fielding when we had Aberfeldie at one stage 3/33. A mini partnership was formed. Wickets then came regularly and we unfortunately leaked a few unnecessary runs at the end of Aberfeldie’s innings which saw them bowled out for a total of 151. Greaney and Goodwin took 2 wickets each, singles to Darcey, Nick, Sammy and Nayana

We had the same start as Aberfeldie did loosing 3 early wickets for 34. Keegan Stanley and Brad Ang put on an excellent partnership together scoring 42 and 54 respectively. After that it fell into shambles. We lost 7/38 in the end and we unfortunately fell 2 runs short of Aberfeldie’s target.

2nd XI @ Aberfeldie

A competitive loss from the Roys against a strong Aberfeldie side. Winning the toss and batting first we posted a target of 171. Johnno top scored with 49 and Ehsan hit a handy 26 not out at the death. Aberfeldie were too strong with the bat though. The Abers ended up finishing 4/208. Lachie Ronaldson took 2 wickets. Finals are not out of the question yet, but we would have to win every game from here with possibly one outright win.

3rd XI @ Spotswood

A good win from the threes sees us back in contention for finals. Winning the toss and batting first we posted a total of 9/149. Asad and Shags put on a strong partnership. Eryck Petrucci came in and played his natural game hitting big shots and top scored with a quick fire 35 runs.

Captain Tux tried something different at the start of our bowling innings, Opening Asad and Peter Shephard. It paid dividends which Shep bagging 3 wickets of the top orders batsman. Wickets then fell regularly from here on in, bowling out Spotswood for 122. Shep and Nicolin bagged 3 wickets each.

One Day – Red vs. Royal Park Reds

Another strong victory for the Red side. Batting first we made 9/261. Billy Morrison top scored with 50no, Aaron Pataki 42 and starts to Vaughan Garner, Mick Pataki and Mick King. Only 5 wickets were taken in our bowling innings. Royal Park fell 14 runs short of their target set by us. Mick Pataki took 2 wickets.
